I managed to get my XV to 160 kph with 5 persons on board including me. 'Whats yours??

I got mine up to an easy 107 MPH according to GPS until my passenger complained. I'll find out what she'll do when I'm alone and the car loosens up with some miles on it. It currently has less than 900.

I have had performance cars that I checked, ahem, out the top speed, but this is an economy crossover vehicle. Top speed is irrelevant to most XV owners.

Exactly haha although i am a bit curious to see or know what subaru has the top speed limited too.

Seriously though... I've done 85 with it, but this car isn't made for speed. Why push it?

This is probably my max so far! I haven't been able to go much faster than that on the freeway in my first week of ownership due to traffic. In any case I'm not a speed demon anymore, and I'd be surprised if I'd ever take it past 90. Now if I had an Impreza WRX STi, then maybe I'd be tempted to push it!

I haven't been over 90 mph, and that was briefly to pass someone on the thruway (speed limit was 65, oops). I'm too chicken to go faster! I generally don't exceed about 73-74 mph.

Did 113 down a good size hill down 691 for anyone that knows the CT area

I managed to hit 150kph without any problems. Smooth as anything. I only slowed down to stop all the babies and kittens dying.

I've hit 140 without even pushing it. Don't see the need to ever go any faster, if only because of the effects on my fuel consumption.
Top speed is fairly immaterial to me. Unless you live in Germany with its unrestricted Autobahn, you'll never get anywhere near your car's top speed without risk of a major fine (or worse).
I wouldn't mind faster acceleration, but even there the car doesn't disappoint. When I got the Colt 1.5 Turbo, I could outdrag most normal road cars. By the time I switched to the XV even the base spec BMW, Audi and Mercedes left me in their wake.
Unless you drive a supercar (and even then) you'll always run into someone faster.

180kph chasing a BRZ on twisties. I did 210kph with my Impreza chasing a STi before, and the XV feels it can do 220-230kph easily.

A little over 165 when a trail bike rider was trying to prove his domanence over the watagan tracks and cause everybody else on the road to move them out of the way

A police officer pulls over a car with a young blonde driver in it….
Cop: "Miss, this is a 65 MPH highway, why are you going so slowly?"
Blonde: "Officer, I saw a lot of signs saying 22, not 65."
Cop: "Oh miss, that's not the speed limit, that's the name of the highway you're on!"
Blonde: "Oh! Stupid me! Thanks for letting me know, Ill be more careful from now on."
At this point the cop looks into the back seat of the car, where the passengers are shaking and white as ghosts.
Cop: "Excuse me miss, what's wrong with your friends back there? They're shaking something awful."

Seriously arnold?thats great! But I think doing 200 plus kph might take some time for the XV. I'm looking forward to push my XV in sctex here in the Philippines with only one passenger (gf) so I could really see if i can beat my record (190kph in a 2010 honda accord) thanks man!

hey man i think we can squeeze some more up to 200kph! it just so happen that I am loaded with 4 more persons that time when I hit 160.
